A former standout at Dr. Phillips High School and Barry University, Brian Martinez has built his career around developing, promoting, and creating opportunities for high-level baseball players. After his playing career, he became one of Central Florida’s respected hitting instructors and served as Recruiting Coordinator for the Orlando Scorpions, helping develop the organization into a national powerhouse. In 2014, Brian founded TNXL Academy to give serious players more time and resources to train, develop, and prepare for the next level. Since then, TNXL has produced more than 300 college commitments and 12 MLB Draft picks. Brian’s greatest passion is the recruiting process. Through years of building relationships across college and professional baseball, he has become a trusted resource for coaches seeking talented players, evaluations, and insight. He takes tremendous pride in advocating for his athletes, promoting deserving players, and helping each one find the right opportunity. Beyond baseball, Brian believes strongly in developing young men through accountability, perseverance, and learning from failure. His goal is not only to prepare players for success on the field, but to equip them for success in life.

Coach Heath brings extensive professional playing and coaching experience to TNXL Academy. A left-handed pitcher, Coach Heath was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 10th round of the 2000 MLB Draft and went on to pitch professionally for more than a decade, including making his Major League debut with the White Sox in 2007. During his professional career, Coach Heath was named the 2006 International League Most Valuable Pitcher and represented Team USA, helping the team win gold during Olympic qualifying. He later transitioned into coaching, including serving as a collegiate pitching coach and working extensively with high-level travel and developmental programs. Coach Heath now brings his professional experience and pitching expertise to TNXL Academy, helping young athletes develop their skills and prepare for success at the next level.

Coach Brandon Romans brings more than 16 years of Division I coaching experience with a strong reputation for hitting, recruiting, and player development. A former standout at UCF, Romans finished his collegiate career with a .314 batting average and earned Second Team All-Conference USA honors as a senior. His coaching career includes stops at UCF, Jacksonville State, Austin Peay, Florida Gulf Coast, Pittsburgh, and Radford, where he has worked extensively with hitters, position players, and recruiting. Throughout his career, programs he has coached have produced 70 MLB Draft picks, 10 Major League players, 13 All-Americans, and five championships. Coach Romans brings a wealth of high-level collegiate experience and a proven track record of developing players for success at the next level.

Coach Cam Furman brings both collegiate playing and coaching experience to TNXL Academy. A former right-handed pitcher at Randolph-Macon College, Furman competed for four seasons with the Yellow Jackets, contributing as both a starter and reliever. His collegiate career included a 2–0 record with a 1.50 ERA as a freshman and 12 starts during his senior season. Following his playing career, Furman joined Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) as a graduate assistant, serving on the coaching staff for two seasons. In 2024, he helped the Rams capture the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship and was part of the coaching staff during their NCAA Regional appearance. Coach Furman now brings his collegiate experience, pitching knowledge, and commitment to player development to TNXL Academy, helping prepare athletes for success at the next level.

Coach Greg Plecki brings extensive playing and coaching experience to TNXL Academy. A former collegiate outfielder at North Dakota State University, Plecki went on to play professionally in independent baseball before beginning his coaching career. Plecki served as the Head Baseball Coach at Merritt Island High School, compiling an impressive 145–60 record and leading the Mustangs to the 2018 Class 6A State Championship game. He then advanced to the collegiate level, joining Eastern Florida State College as an assistant coach, where he continued developing and mentoring players competing at the NJCAA level. Throughout his career, Coach Plecki has helped develop high-level athletes and prepare players for opportunities at the collegiate and professional levels. He now brings his experience, leadership, and player-development background to TNXL Academy.

With a deep background in competitive baseball and player development, Coach Dax brings extensive experience in high school, travel, and elite player development to TNXL Academy. A former collegiate baseball player at Trinity International University, Gallegos has built a successful coaching career spanning multiple levels of the game. Throughout his career, Coach Gallegos has been part of multiple FHSAA State Championship programs, including championship seasons in 2009, 2010, and 2015, as well as a 2021 State Runner-Up finish. His background also includes years of high-level travel baseball, and he currently coaches within the Power Baseball organization in addition to his role at TNXL. Coach Gallegos brings a strong emphasis on player development, preparation, and helping athletes reach the next level. He currently serves as Head Coach of Team Prospect at TNXL Academy, where he continues to develop and mentor players pursuing collegiate and professional baseball opportunities.

Coach Tony Martinez brings a genuine love for baseball, mentorship, and the TNXL family to everything he does. As the father of TNXL owner Brian Martinez, Tony has been a part of the heart behind TNXL and takes tremendous pride in what the program represents. Known as the encourager among the coaching staff, Coach Tony has a special ability to connect with players, lift them up, and remind them of the bigger picture both on and off the field. His heartfelt passion for the game is matched by the care he has for the young men in the program and the coaches alongside him. More than just a coach, Tony is a steady, positive presence within TNXL — bringing heart, perspective, and an unwavering commitment to the players and families who make up the program.
